Factory Seconds Depot
What is a Factory Second?
Mistakes can happen. When you add in Paragon’s great attention to detail and the high quality-control standards we maintain, the result is a Factory-Second. These lightly blemished products have minor defects such as a small scratch, nick, slight dent or manufacturing imperfection. Though typically very slight, the blemish does not allow the product to earn a passing grade in Paragon’s quality assurance review of every product.
A Factory second, also known as blemished product or blem are retail items which, through minor fault of manufacture, are sold for a reduced rate, rather than being discarded. Such goods are often resold at this lower rate after failing the factory's quality inspection, being returned to the manufacturer’s factory by the original retailer, or (less frequently) being returned to the retailer or wholesaler by a customer.
For Paragon it means an item listed as a factory second will have failed quality inspection for cosmetic, not a functional, reasons. Such items are discounted, and include there all-encompassing warranty or guarantee as a full-quality item.
*All Paragon items factory seconds carry their one year manufacturer's warranty.
** More than likely the blemish is a scratch, nick or manufacturing imperfection.
***Paragon is unable to provide photos of the blemished merchandise as the products are boxed and in inventory in our warehouse.
